Born from the heart of Baltimore’s vibrant music scene, Billy Rooster Band is a high-energy group blending the raw emotion of emo with infectious, anthemic hooks of pop punk. Fronted by William Flagle, who began his musical journey at just 13 in Towson, Maryland, the band officially took flight in 2021.

By 2024, the group solidified its first full lineup with the addition of powerhouse drummer Austin Collins, groove-driven bassist Brendan Clarke, and guitarist Matt Aasen. Together, they established the band’s early sound and electrifying stage presence, helping Billy Rooster Band quickly gain traction across the local scene.

In 2025, Matt Aasen stepped away from the band, ushering in a new era with the arrival of guitarist Garrett Bugg, whose dynamic playing and fresh energy added a sharper edge to the band’s evolving sound. Soon after, the lineup expanded further with the addition of Lillie Bridgers (Bass) and Andrew Michael (Guitar/Backing Vocalist), bringing even more depth, power, and versatility to the band’s live performances and songwriting.

Since their debut, Billy Rooster Band has become a staple at iconic local venues like Ottobar and Zen West, earning a loyal following through their electrifying shows and nostalgic yet modern sound. Drawing inspiration from genre-defining acts like Blink-182, My Chemical Romance, and Mayday Parade, they channel the spirit of the early 2000s while carving out something distinctly their own.

Their debut album, That’s Just Life, released in July 2024, captures the highs and lows of growing up, falling in love, and finding your place in the world. With a third album in the works, Billy Rooster Band continues to build momentum, pushing their sound forward and staking their claim as one of Baltimore’s most exciting rising acts.
